THE WARM UP: ELISE FLETCHER
Welcome to the warm-up, a bi-monthly trillfit feature where we chop it up with our favorite fitness instructors about their teaching styles, favorite rappers, favorite cheat meals and (way) more.
Astrological Sign: Libra
Specialty: Anything and everything lower body. I love sculpting and strengthening the womanly physique.
How did you get into teaching: After going through my own transformation of losing over 70lbs, I realized I couldn't see myself doing anything else with my life. Whether it's training one-on-one or in a large group, it's a blessing to share the love I have for fitness and wellness with others.
Rap lyric that best describes you: 'You know I only share it cause I'm truly genuine. Don't be a hard rock when you really are a gem.'
Top Five (hip-hop/r&b artists):
- The Roots
- Jay Z,
- Pusha T
Describe your training style: Focused and fun. We are so strong and powerful - it's crazy. I want to remind people of that. But also know that we must enjoy ourselves and SMILE!
Most impactful workout move we can do at home: Jump squats. So many variations and legit a full body workout.
What’s in your gym bag: Swell water bottle, Burt bees lip balm, Dove deodorant spray, Oribe perfume, yoga towel, cycling shoes, extra socks and depending on the day - Yoga mat, Power Yoga training manual (I'm in the middle of my RYT200!) and journal.
Best cheat meal: Some sort of dessert and bourbon.
Your trill motto for the masses: No one is you and that is your power.
- Lightning Round -
8AM or 8PM: I'm a bartender so of course 8pm.
Drake or The Weeknd: Drake
Biggie or Pac: Biggie
Nas or Jay Z: Jay Z
Go-to fitness fashion brand: Nike for basics. Michi for edgy and sexy.
Best workout ever: Anything intense and includes dope music.
Gym or Outdoors: Outdoors! Although I'm always in some studio, I prefer being outside and one with nature.
Makeup in class: Whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Personally no unless I'm coming from work, etc. Because I know I'll be sweating it right off!
Your fit celeb crush: I have a thing for athletes and although he didn't win the super bowl, Cam Newton can get it.
Song you can’t stop listening to: Harlem by Diddy. The fusion of rap with Chromatic's 'Tick of the Clock' is perfection. Headphones on. World off.
